Fundraise For ALC
We continually strive to improve the lives of our children and young people by providing them with a safe space where they can play, learn and socialise with each other as they progress towards adulthood.
We also offer them the support they require to develop the skills, knowledge and networks they need to access and take advantage of opportunities.
But we need help to do that and are always looking for more support.
So, how can you fundraise for us?
Here are some ideas:
- Any reason to organise an event to raise funds and awareness for ALC! How about an afternoon tea, or something more daring like an abseil?
- Lucky squares are a simple way of raising funds.
- Ladies or lads afternoon or evening.
- Lunch and learn: we’d love to come along and meet you to explain what we do and how you can help.
- International evening: choose a country and theme your event with food/decorations/entertainment. If you’re looking for something more energetic, how about ‘It’s a Knockout’ or an Iron Man Challenge?
- FUN, FUN and more FUN – there’s a reason Fun is in FUNDRAISING! Film night, football match, fashion show.
- Enjoy whatever you choose to do.
- Coffee and cake or a cocktail party with collection cans, at home or your workplace. You know what looking after pennies means, right?…
- Host a bake sale. Head shave. Donate an hour’s salary and encourage your colleagues to do the same.
- Auction – donate popular auction items like accommodation vouchers, jewellery or a handbag. Alternatively, gift your time. For example – if you’re a joiner, you could offer three hours of your time.
- Name the teddy, bunny or bear. Charge per entry.
- Celebrate a birthday, anniversary or wedding and raise funds for ALC rather than receiving gifts.
- Empty your wardrobes and cupboards and sell the contents to raise funds.
- Sponsored events – silence, walks, marathons, no sweets, crisps, alcohol for a set time. What would you find difficult to give up? What would your friends sponsor you to give up?
Whatever you decide to do, please get in touch and tell us about it. We will help you to support us. And remember, together, we can make a real difference to local children, young people, and their families.
